I See Dead Turkeys
And so another Thanksgiving cometh and goeth. Overall, it was fun, and the four days off were much needed. The Monday after the four days off is another story, however. I’ll just do a day-by-day for all of my (2…3…?) eager readers…
Wednesday Evening
This is typically reserved for getting wasted and driving home impaired. Not for me - headed to Neeti’s and Dan’s for Dan’s 26th BDay. Fun was had by all. I started to crash around 8ish (I’m such an oldman
). So we took off and proceeded to passout.
Thursday - Black Friday Eve
So the big day of football, turkey and napping rolled around finally. Got back to my 1bdrm closet and had a good 3hrs of doing nothing before venturing to Fairport/Pittsford/whateverthehellitis for T-Day at my Aunts. Got to see the my small family. My youngest cousin was up from NYC which rocked. Like every year, we all got full on crackers and cheese then proceeded to overeat at the main event. I took a few pics which I’ll probably put up (hopefully) soon. Neeti just uploaded about a billion pics to her gallery so I think it is time I upload a ton myself
.
I hung out @ my aunts till 7ish then headed to Candace’s folks house for more relaxing…overall, nothing terribly exciting (which was very nice).
Black Friday…
I really wanted to get up at 5am and go where all the crazies go…alas, I slept till about 9am..and loved it. We did decide to do a bit of shopping around Webster - land of the idiots. I’ve been meaning to put together a “why this suburb annoys me” category…Basically, I heart downtown. I didn’t really buy much. Finally got a digi-thermostat. Got it installed and programmed - no more dial turnin! FTW!!!!one. We headed to Jim’s stunning city house. He and his wife bought a mansion (basically..it’s huge). They did alot in the 4months or so and it was all well done. Again…to reiterate..I want that couch
.
Saturday
It had finally come…”Nutcracker Day”. I told Candace I’d go and she even bought my ticket :aww:
. We met up with George, Leianna (sp?), Dan and Neeti for a night at the Eastman Theatre (which is very impressive). I was told by my cousin on Thursday that “that is so gay” when I told her I was going and that “I am whipped” lol. It actually wasn’t that bad - a sign that I am actually cultured *shiver*. We hit up the Old Toad for drinks - apparently everyone and their mothers were doing the same - very crowded bar…with a hint of body-odor - YUM! I couldn’t complain - Heinekin was $2.75..a tasty beer.
Sunday
The day of rest..and that is what we did…Bills blew it, Breaking Bonaduce concluded (cry) and Intervention (A&E) will cause instant depression (powerful show)
Here’s to another Thanksgiving, and I still miss you Ricky…
My best friend for 20+yrs leaves for Iraq on Thursday and I am NOT happy about it…Give em hell Phil!
