Winter Snow Warning - Say What?
Disclaimer: I threw out my lower back last week and as a result I am one very cranky human being
I do not Snow Warnings in April, Sam I am - I do not like them, Sam I am. I do not like them in mid-March, I do not like them…eh, I can’t rhyme this morning.
During the course of this winter, I’ve slowly been building upon my growing dislike for my hometown. Given the lack of teaching jobs for C, and lack of temporary work even, and the fact that I had quite the crap-tastic commute..in mid-APRIL, I think I’m up for a change.
Perhaps I am the guilty party here, but I can’t help but feel a growing disconnect between me, and the city/region I call home. This could be the winter blah’s talking, considering winter doesn’t really end here until May 1st, but I think I genuinely want a change of location - but where to? We’ve thought of a couple cities, but both are going to be expensive. I don’t really consider this place a city - it’s a collection of buildings that fill up at 8am, and are empty by 5pm - I don’t really feel a pulse…but perhaps I am not looking hard enough, in which case I need my readers to let me know (the local ones anyway).
My desire for change could easily be stemming from our rather obnoxious winter - I’m very ready to put away the winter garb, put away the snow brush, NOT warm up my car before work, and NOT be stuck in the middle of an idiot contest on the way to work during a snow storm.
“Why so cranky, Dan?” - Didja read the disclaimer?
- Happy Monday, all.
I was so ready to leave the Hudson Valley after last winter, but then spring sprung, and I feel in love. I have hope it will feel that way again this spring. If you want a really inexpensive city with great weather, I think you have to live in the south. Or Mexico.
Hey the sun is out today!!!
are you doing the 10k this weekend?
